In 1988 Rob and Sherri were married and began raising Quarter Horses.  They both came with ranching and outfitting experience and knew without a doubt horses with disposition, heart and athletic ability were a must. They were lucky to have for 10 years an exceptional Alzola Stallion (grandson of Watch Joe Jack). He had the best disposition you could have ever wished for.  “Roper” gave them experience, pride and strengthened their love for the foundation quarter horse. He is pictured above, the one with the baby!
Rob and Sherri met while working for an Outfitter in the Sawtooth Wilderness area. They have guided in this area plus the White Cloud Mountain Range, Pioneer/Smokey Mountains, Frank Church Wilderness of Idaho, and the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana. Rob is an exceptional outdoors man and guide, who has bugled in countless elk. He was 1989 IOGA Champion bugler. Rob comes from a linage of family that made their living off the land. Sherri is an Elementary School Teacher, who never outgrew her childhood love for horses, dogs and children. Her background linage includes Ranchers and a U S Forest Ranger. Together they would like nothing more than to show you how to enjoy the quarter horse as much as they do. Share the adventure with them.

Foals they have raised can be found from Arizona to Alaska, Wisconsin to California. These foals have won many awards and lots of hearts.
Here are just a few winners. AK: Year-end Halter Award, AZ: Team Penning & Working Ranch horse buckles, ID: Halter & Reining Futurities titles, OK: AQHA World Qualifier, and many roping events in different states.

The Karrens have a couple of foal crops by their new stallion, and the foals show more class and ability than they could have hoped for!
The Karrens have a family operation which prides itself in horses with exceptional dispositions.  Our brood mares are hand-picked and ridden before they are placed in the band.  Bloodlines found on their papers: Freeway Foxy, Dell Jigs, Poco Dell, Sir Quincy Dan, Steel Bars, Two Eyed Jack, Midnight Hank, Isle Breeze, Royal Informer, Blondys Dude, Yucca King, Smart Peppy Lena, Doc O Lena, Docs Oak, Triples Image, Watch Joe Jack, Jessie James, Lightening Bars, Dinner Flight, Doc Bar, Hank H, Triple Chick, & Gold King Bailey.  Their foals are raised out on the range, but, unlike most ranches, theirs are handled often.  They have horses for sale at all times; contact for videos, pictures, pedigrees and fliers. Thank you for your time!

Their kids are just getting old enough to enjoy ‘the ride’.
